WATCHES AND WONDERS GENEVA 2025: A CELEBRATION OF HOROLOGICAL MASTERY

WATCHES AND WONDERS GENEVA 2025: A CELEBRATION OF HOROLOGICAL MASTERY

From April 1 to 7, 2025, Geneva will transform into the epicenter of haute horlogerie as Watches and Wonders Geneva welcomes 60 of the world’s most prestigious watch brands, including the highly anticipated debut of Bvlgari and six new independent creators. This year’s edition promises an unparalleled fusion of innovation, craftsmanship, and community, designed to captivate every watch enthusiast.

A Gathering of Icons and Innovators

The 2025 edition marks a milestone with Bvlgari joining the lineup alongside six rising independent brands, expanding the event’s reach into bold new territories. From timeless legends like Rolex, Patek Philippe, and Vacheron Constantin to avant-garde pioneers such HYT and Ressence, the Salon will showcase the full spectrum of watchmaking artistry. Expect groundbreaking launches, including limited editions, technical marvels, and designs that redefine luxury.

Immersive Experiences for Every Enthusiast

The event kicks off with exclusive access for professionals and journalists, followed by public days from April 5–7. Highlights include:

  • Hands-on workshops with master watchmakers from A. Lange & Söhne, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Hermès.

  • Unexpected encounters with brand ambassadors and behind-the-scenes access to craftsmanship demos.

  • “In The City” Evening: On April 3, Geneva’s Quai Général-Guisan will come alive with a free concert by French electronic duo Bon Entendeur, while boutiques like Cartier and Chopard extend their hours for late-night browsing.

Young Talent Takes Center Stage

This year, Watches and Wonders amplifies its focus on the next generation of horologists:

  • The LAB: A hub for innovation where brands like Czapek & Cie and Grönefeld collaborate with startups and students to prototype the future of watchmaking.

  • Watchmaking Village: Located on the Pont de la Machine, apprentices from Tudor, Panerai, and more will demonstrate their skills, while live broadcasts of the SwissSkills 2025 microtechnology competition inspire budding watchmakers.

  • Career Opportunities: Meet trainers and discover apprenticeships at booths hosted by IWC Schaffhausen, Hublot, and Zenith.

Culture, Art, and the Philosophy of Time

Beyond the booths, the event delves into the cultural fabric of watchmaking:

  • Longitude 0° Exhibition: Geneva-based photographer Fred Merz guides visitors along the Greenwich Meridian, blending horology with global storytelling.

  • Auditorium Talks: Engage in debates on topics like women’s roles in watchmaking (featuring Chanel and Van Cleef & Arpels) and UNESCO’s efforts to preserve horological heritage.

  • Literary Connections: The Payot Bookshop hosts Geneva historian Gérard Duc and author Max Lobe, bridging timekeeping with philosophy and history.

  • Film Screening: Don’t miss Claude Schauli’s documentary Les Héritiers des Paysans-Horlogers, exploring Switzerland’s horological roots.
