The mission was simple: create a judgment-free, pretentious-free space for people to bond over their shared love for watches, enjoy drinks, and form lasting friendships. Initially, small, informal meetings were held at a bar that gave the group its name.

Over time, the gatherings grew, and with the help of social media, Redbar's popularity soared, attracting members from various walks of life. Today, Redbar NYC meets monthly, inspiring the formation of chapters in cities like Toronto, London, Bombay, Edinburgh, and Dallas/Fort Worth. With over 85 chapters worldwide, Redbar continues to maintain its core values of inclusivity, camaraderie, and a shared passion for horology, offering a welcoming space for both seasoned collectors and new enthusiasts to explore the world of watches.

From intimate meetups to large-scale shows in Glasgow and Manchester, the club hosts over 50 in-person events per year and has welcomed more than 3,000 enthusiasts onto its mailing list. Partners include some of the world's most respected watch brands, from Breitling and IWC to Grand Seiko, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and independent makers.

NAWCC

The National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors is a nonprofit founded in 1943 that brings together nearly 10,000 members worldwide through more than a hundred local and special-interest chapters.

THE WATCH SOCIETY

The Watch Society is a growing network of local watch collector communities. Each chapter brings together collectors in its own city to share their watches, meet up at events and welcome newcomers, all connected under one global society that now reaches from Atlanta and Austin to Las Vegas and The Bahamas.

The NAWCC began in 1943, when three watch collectors founded The Watch Collectors Club. Clocks soon joined watches, and the club grew into the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors — today a nonprofit with nearly 10,000 members worldwide.

From its headquarters in Columbia, Pennsylvania, it runs the National Watch & Clock Museum and a horological research library, and publishes the Watch & Clock Bulletin. Its local chapters — across the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and beyond — hold collector marts, talks and workshops, while special-interest chapters gather around a single passion, from wristwatches to tower clocks.
