S1 WANDERING HOURS: A NEW WAY TO READ TIME

The DWISS S1 Wandering Hours is a design that breaks away from traditional time reading and turns it into a visual experience in motion. Inspired by the Moon’s orbit around the Earth, this model reinterprets the wandering hours complication through a system of satellite discs that rotate across the dial, replacing conventional hands with a more dynamic and conceptual approach.

A concept of time in motion

In the S1, time is not displayed in a linear way but as a continuous journey. Two satellite discs orbit the upper part of the dial, indicating the hours as they travel along an arc. At any given moment, the active hour aligns with an aperture that reveals it precisely.

Minutes are shown on a fixed central scale that acts as the reference axis of the dial. At the center of the dial, the seconds add balance and continuity to the composition, completing a reading of time that feels like a constantly moving system.

Case, construction and presence

The watch is housed in a newly designed cushion shaped case made of 316L stainless steel. Its sandblasted finish gives it a matte technical appearance, while polished lugs add contrast and visual refinement.

The proportions are carefully balanced: 40 mm diameter, 44 mm lug to lug, and 13.8 mm thickness. These dimensions give the watch a strong wrist presence while maintaining everyday comfort.

Crystal, durability and functionality

The dial is protected by a double domed sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating, improving legibility from different angles and adding depth to the overall design.

In terms of functionality, the S1 offers 100 meters of water resistance, making it suitable for daily wear while maintaining a balance between conceptual design and real world usability.

Swiss movement and technical strap

Inside, the S1 is powered by the Swiss automatic La Joux-Perret G100 movement in its Soigné version. This calibre features 24 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and a 68 hour power reserve, offering strong precision and autonomy within its category.

The CTS Cut To Size strap is made of FKM rubber, a durable and flexible material that ensures comfort and longevity. Its custom sizing system allows a precise fit, while the butterfly clasp adds security and a clean aesthetic integration with the case.

A reinterpretation of time

The DWISS S1 Wandering Hours is not just a watch but a reinterpretation of time as continuous motion. Its orbital display system, technical construction, and Swiss movement make it a piece that combines contemporary design, horological engineering, and conceptual storytelling in a single object.
