I recently had the pleasure of being invited as a guest on the Watch You Talkin’ About podcast, and I left the conversation feeling incredibly grateful, inspired, and energized about what lies ahead for WatchDNA and the wider watch community.
What made this discussion so special was not just that we talked about watches. It was that we talked about people, passion, storytelling, and the power of building something meaningful together.
My Journey in the Watch Industry
During the podcast, I had the chance to reflect on my journey in the watch industry, which began nearly 17 years ago. I started my career with Hamilton, part of the Swatch Group, where I spent 12 unforgettable years learning, growing, and building relationships with remarkable people.
When COVID changed the world, it also gave me a reason to pause and think differently. I went back to school, took the time to study the watch industry more deeply, and spoke with hundreds of people across the ecosystem: retailers, brand leaders, watchmakers, designers, and consumers.
The more I listened, the more I realized there was still space for something different. That is where the idea for WatchDNA truly came to life.
Why I Created WatchDNA
There are many wonderful platforms in the watch world, but I often felt that most of them served one primary purpose. Some educate. Some entertain. Some sell. Some connect.
But very few bring all of these dimensions together in a way that feels open, welcoming, and free from pressure.
My vision for WatchDNA was to create a hybrid platform that could educate, entertain, and connect the watch community, while remaining genuine and accessible.
For one person, a watch may celebrate a graduation. For another, it may represent a first job, a wedding, or a moment that changed their life.
The Story Behind My Favorite Watch
One of the most emotional parts of the podcast was sharing the story of my favorite watch.
It is a vintage LIP watch from France—not because it is the most expensive watch I own, but because of what it represents.
About a year and a half ago, I visited my parents in France and discovered it inside a safe, forgotten for over 10 years.
My father told me it was a gift from my grandmother for his 18th birthday.
After restoring it, I gave it back to him—and he simply said: “No, keep it.”
That is why this watch means so much to me.

Learning, Sharing, and Building Community
Another topic we discussed was the educational side of WatchDNA, including the new flashcard feature.
The idea is simple: make learning about watches easy, quick, and fun.
For me, education should not feel intimidating. It should feel inviting.
WatchDNA is not only about media or products—it is about community participation and opening the door for people to share their voice.
Watches Are Important. But People Matter Most.
While watches are fascinating, what inspires me most are the people behind them.
I believe there is always someone who knows more than you—and that mindset keeps me curious and learning.
Looking Ahead
From Geneva to global trade shows, my vision is to expand WatchDNA into a platform that connects people worldwide.
My Real Motivation
My true passion is connecting people and learning from them.
But beyond everything, what drives me most is simple:
That is why I keep building, creating, and pushing forward.
Final Thoughts
Thank you to the Watch You Talking About team for this meaningful conversation.
This reminded me why I started this journey:
And this is only the beginning.
