THE 45TH HONG KONG WATCH & CLOCK FAIR AND 14TH SALON DE TIME OPEN THEIR DOORS

The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair celebrates its 45th edition alongside the 14th Salon de TIME, bringing together more than 630 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Under the theme “Sparkling Moments Through Time,” both events once again position Hong Kong as an important meeting point for the international watch industry.

The fairs are taking place from 1 to 5 September 2026, while the Click2Match digital platform will remain active until 12 September. Salon de TIME is also open free of charge to the general public, with selected brands offering retail sales during the event.

45 years connecting the watch industry

To celebrate its anniversary, the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair presents a “Time Tunnel,” an installation tracing the evolution of the fair since its creation in 1982.

The exhibition shows how the event evolved from an international sourcing platform into a broader space dedicated to brand development, design, technology, culture and consumer experiences.

The fair also features different zones dedicated to complete watches, machinery, components, accessories, packaging and manufacturing services.

Salon de TIME reaches a new record

Salon de TIME welcomes more than 150 international watch brands this year, setting a new record. Among its six themed zones, Microbrands stands out as a segment that has experienced significant growth compared with the previous edition.

The World Brand Piazza also returns for the 16th consecutive year in collaboration with Prince Jewellery & Watch, featuring Baume & Mercier, Corum, DeWitt, Franck Muller, Montblanc and Sarcar.

From sports watches to sustainable timepieces

Current watchmaking trends have a strong presence at the fair. EDOX presents the Delfin 1973 Automatic, while Norwegian brand Micromilspec makes its debut with the MILGRAPH, developed for special operations forces.

Sustainability is also gaining prominence through proposals such as the Sunrex 611, equipped with the brand's proprietary solar movement, and the Robotfigs Cubot, crafted using upcycled materials.

Meanwhile, collaborations between watchmaking, technology and culture are represented by projects such as the smartwatch developed by LINK2CARE and MARVIN, as well as Memorigin's Verdant Resonance Tourbillon Watch.

Microbrands and independent watchmaking take the spotlight

The growth of microbrands is one of the most notable aspects of this year's event. US brand BREDA makes its debut with the Pulse Locket, a watch featuring a design inspired by a locket.

The Swiss Independent Watchmakers Pavilion also brings together independent watchmaking proposals, including the Corleone Mini Collection by Pilo & Co Genève, limited to just 10 pieces per colour variant.

A programme that goes beyond watches

In addition to the exhibitions, the fairs feature more than 40 activities, including conferences, seminars, product launches and networking sessions.

Highlights include the Hong Kong International Watch Forum, the Asian Watch Conference, and the seminar “Off the Beaten Path: Indie Watchmakers vs. Independent Brands,” which will explore the future of independent watchmaking.

The fair also hosts the 43rd Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition, which aims to support local talent and recognise new approaches to watch design.

With its combination of established brands, microbrands, manufacturers, independent watchmakers and emerging technologies, the 2026 edition once again demonstrates Hong Kong's ability to connect different sectors and markets within the global watch industry.
