AEROWATCH LES GRANDES CLASSIQUES CHRONO MOON PHASE

Aerowatch expands its Les Grandes Classiques Chrono Moon Phase collection with a limited edition of 199 pieces that combines the tradition of Swiss watchmaking with a versatile and elegant aesthetic. Crafted in stainless steel and developed under the direction of the second generation of the Bolzli family, this chronograph reflects the values that have guided Aerowatch for more than a century: quality, precision and design. Its 44 mm case and balanced presence allow it to be worn in both sporty settings and more elegant occasions.

A Design Defined by Depth

One of the watch's most distinctive elements is its anthracite dial with a sunray finish , designed to create a strong sense of depth. The bevelled ring surrounding the date display contributes to this three-dimensional effect, while the Arabic numerals and subdials stand out clearly against the dark background.

The hour and minute hands maintain a refined aesthetic and feature luminous material for improved legibility. Two touches of colour add personality to the design: the red chronograph hand and the crescent moon accompanying the moon phase display. Positioned at 3 o'clock, the moon phase is visible through a moon-shaped aperture.

The dial is protected by a curved, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, while the stainless steel case measures 44 mm in diameter and features an engraved serial number on the side of the case at 9 o'clock.

The Valjoux Chronograph and Moon Phase

Inside the Les Grandes Classiques Chrono Moon Phase is an automatic Valjoux chronograph movement, a calibre with a long history in Swiss watchmaking and particularly well known for its use in mechanical chronographs.

Aerowatch has modified the movement to incorporate the moon phase and date functions, allowing both indications to be conveniently adjusted through the crown. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and features 25 jewels.

The movement can also be admired through the transparent caseback. Its rhodium-plated finish features Côtes de Genève decoration, while blued screws and circular graining add traditional details associated with Swiss movement finishing.

A Limited Edition with Classic Character

The back of the watch features a sapphire crystal caseback secured with screws, providing a direct view of the movement and its decorative finishes. This approach allows the mechanical construction to become part of the visual experience rather than remaining completely hidden.

The watch is completed by an anthracite leather strap with stitching, paired with a steel folding clasp. The result maintains the classic character of the collection while introducing a more contemporary interpretation, particularly through the combination of the dark dial, red accents and substantial 44 mm case.

With 50 metres of water resistance, the watch is designed to accompany a variety of everyday situations while maintaining the elegant character that defines the collection.

A Contemporary Interpretation of Les Grandes Classiques

With this limited edition of 199 pieces, Aerowatch maintains the identity of the Les Grandes Classiques Chrono Moon Phase collection while introducing a configuration that places particular emphasis on dial depth, astronomical functions and the mechanical architecture of the chronograph. The combination of moon phase, date and Valjoux chronograph brings together several of the most recognisable functions of traditional mechanical watchmaking within a distinctive stainless steel case.

The Aerowatch Les Grandes Classiques Chrono Moon Phase Limited Edition, reference A 69989 AA05, is therefore a proposition that brings together tradition and versatility. Its anthracite dial, touches of colour, decorated Valjoux movement and production limited to 199 pieces reinforce the special character of a watch designed for those seeking a classic expression of Swiss watchmaking with a clearly defined personality.
