BAUME & MERCIER CLIFTON ICE BLUE: TWO NEW EXPRESSIONS OF WATCHMAKING ELEGANCE
Baume & Mercier expands its Clifton collection with two limited editions that combine vintage inspiration with a contemporary aesthetic. The new Clifton 10870 and Clifton 10872 stand out with their ice blue guilloché dials and Baumatic manufacture movements, offering two distinct interpretations that share the same visual identity while differing in complications and dimensions.
A design inspired by the 1950s
The Clifton collection draws on the design codes of the 1950s, with harmonious proportions, refined finishes, and careful attention to legibility. In these new editions, the ice blue dial brings a fresh character to the design, complemented by rhodium-plated faceted trapezoid indexes and alpha-style hands. The stainless steel cases, with polished and satin-finished surfaces, complete an aesthetic that brings together tradition and modernity.

Clifton 10870: Simplicity and precision in 39 mm
The Clifton 10870 features a 39 mm stainless steel case and an ice blue guilloché dial with an Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock. Inside, the Baumatic BM13-1975 A automatic manufacture movement delivers a power reserve of 120 hours, equivalent to five days, and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The watch displays hours, minutes, central seconds, and the date, and offers water resistance to 50 meters. Its three-row stainless steel bracelet, with polished and satin-finished surfaces, can be changed without tools. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the mechanical movement.

Clifton 10872: The complexity of a perpetual calendar
With a 40 mm stainless steel case, the Clifton 10872 features an ice blue guilloché dial with Arabic numerals at 2, 4, 8, and 10 o’clock. Limited to 20 pieces, this edition is powered by the Baumatic BM13-1975 AC2 automatic manufacture movement, which offers a power reserve of 120 hours.

Its perpetual calendar displays the day of the week, date, month, and leap year, alongside the moon phases. It also features hours, minutes, and central seconds. A blue alligator leather strap completes the design and can be changed without tools.

Two watches, one identity
The new Clifton 10870 and 10872 represent two ways to experience Baume & Mercier watchmaking. While the first focuses on an automatic movement with a date display, the second introduces the complexity of a perpetual calendar. Both share the ice blue dial, attention to finishing, and Baumatic movements with a five-day power reserve.
With these two limited editions, Baume & Mercier refreshes the aesthetic of the Clifton collection while remaining true to its heritage. The result combines the appeal of vintage-inspired design with contemporary details and two distinct approaches to mechanical watchmaking.
