Marathon 46mm Official YAMAM™ Jumbo Day/Date Automatic (JDD)
Marathon Watch Company traces its roots to 1904, when Hersh Wein founded Weinstrum Watch. His son Morris Wein founded Marathon in Montreal in 1939, and by 1941 the brand was supplying wristwatches and timing instruments to Allied forces.
Today Marathon is headquartered in Vaughan, Canada, and assembles its watches in its own factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. It still develops and supplies timepieces under contract to the Canadian, U.S. and British governments and other Allied forces.
The range is built around three families: the Search and Rescue (SAR) dive watches, the Navigator pilot watches and the General Purpose field watches, lit with tritium gas tubes and MaraGlo luminescence.
Marathon's Official YAMAM™ Jumbo Day/Date Automatic (JDD) is commonly known as the Jumbo Day/Date (JDD). This rugged military watch is designed to meet the rigorous demands of military operations and is built to be highly durable, reliable, and accurate.
