Marathon 36mm Officer's Mechanical (GPM)
Marathon 36mm Officer's Mechanical (GPM)
Marathon Watch Company traces its roots to 1904, when Hersh Wein founded Weinstrum Watch. His son Morris Wein founded Marathon in Montreal in 1939, and by 1941 the brand was supplying wristwatches and timing instruments to Allied forces.
Today Marathon is headquartered in Vaughan, Canada, and assembles its watches in its own factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. It still develops and supplies timepieces under contract to the Canadian, U.S. and British governments and other Allied forces.
The range is built around three families: the Search and Rescue (SAR) dive watches, the Navigator pilot watches and the General Purpose field watches, lit with tritium gas tubes and MaraGlo luminescence.
Commonly known as the Officer’s Field Watch Mechanical (OFM) or Stainless Steel General Purpose Mechanical (GPM-SS).
Marathon's Officer's Watch features a case diameter of 36mm, a thickness of 11mm, and 16mm lug width, making it perfect size for everyday wear. Comes on a Black Ballistic Nylon strap.
