Marathon 24 Hour Digital Timer with Countdown, Count-up and Clock Feature
Marathon Watch Company traces its roots to 1904, when Hersh Wein founded Weinstrum Watch. His son Morris Wein founded Marathon in Montreal in 1939, and by 1941 the brand was supplying wristwatches and timing instruments to Allied forces.
Today Marathon is headquartered in Vaughan, Canada, and assembles its watches in its own factory in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. It still develops and supplies timepieces under contract to the Canadian, U.S. and British governments and other Allied forces.
The range is built around three families: the Search and Rescue (SAR) dive watches, the Navigator pilot watches and the General Purpose field watches, lit with tritium gas tubes and MaraGlo luminescence.
Large rubber buttons and a 2-inch diagonal digital display enhance user-friendliness. The timer, powered by a included AA battery, withstands constant use and can be easily washed down.
With a 24-hour capacity, it counts down in 1-second intervals, followed by a loud beeping for 1 minute. The count-up feature allows tracking elapsed time. Perfect for long cooking recipes or lengthy experiments. The memory button simplifies programming special times.
When not in use, the timer doubles as a clock. For added convenience, engage the "Count-up" mode and use it as a stopwatch. Reliable, easy-to-use, with a stable, non-slip bottom, this timer ensures precision and surface protection.
