DWISS is the most design-awarded Swiss microbrand in the world. Founded in 2011 by industrial designer Rafael Simoes Miranda in Lugano, Switzerland, the brand was built around a single conviction: any watch can tell time, the question is how differently it can do it. With more than 34 international design awards to its name — including the iF Design Award 2026, nine consecutive European Product Design Awards, and multiple International Design Awards — DWISS has established a record no other independent Swiss brand has matched. Every model is a strictly limited edition. Once sold out, it is permanently retired and never reissued. The A1 PowerLume is the winner of the iF Design Award 2026 — among 10,000 entries from 68 countries, selected as one of the year's most outstanding product designs. Its thesis is precise: luminescence is not a functional afterthought but a primary design material. Where most watches apply lume as thin lines, the A1 uses Super-LumiNova® C1 X1 BL in solid architectural blocks across every hour marker — four times brighter than standard grade. In daylight they read as bold geometric forms in the Tapisserie dial. In darkness, the watch becomes a luminous object of uncommon clarity. The A1 is powered by the La Joux-Perret G100 Soigné — a Swiss Made automatic calibre built to the Soigné finishing standard, with polished and chamfered components visible through the see-through sapphire caseback. It runs at 4Hz with a 68-hour power reserve and 24 jewels. The 40mm, 316L stainless steel case measures 10.8mm in thickness and 45.5mm lug to lug — a geometry that sits close to the wrist without sacrificing presence. Available in four dial editions: Blue, Black, Green, and White. Each is independently limited. When an edition closes, it does not return
