Worden Watch is a design-forward microbrand crafting bold, modern timepieces from a small studio in Guelph, Ontario. Founded by Industrial Designer Tyler Worden, the brand brings an artistic, story driven approach to contemporary watchmaking. Each watch design is based around a single idea; a “theme” that shapes the colors, materials, and tone of the entire drop. The result is a limited edition series of wrist-sized sculptures; playful in spirit, serious in execution. Worden Watch speaks to collectors who value originality, dependability and scarcity in what they wear.
007 denotes the seventh Worden Watch ever produced.
7/25 denotes the seventh watch of 25 in the Via Negativa theme.
"Via Negativa" is a Latin term that translates to "the way of negation." In philosophy and theology, it refers to a method of approaching truth or understanding by defining what something is not rather than by affirming what it is. In design, Via Negativa is essentially the study of what not to do and this methodology was used extensively in the development of Worden Watch. This approach can be applied to any creative process and will resonate with artists, free thinkers, and designers alike.
