Krayon is an independent Swiss watchmaking brand founded in 2017 by Rémi Maillat, a watchmaking engineer and designer based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Operating from a historic lakeside building in the heart of Switzerland's watchmaking region, Krayon describes itself as "today's watchmaker in the truest sense" — a twelve-person team of artisans with the ability to transform mathematical calculations into fantastic watchmaking creations.
The brand's philosophy is built on a "One Watch, One Watchmaker" approach: each timepiece is created with full transparency and individual craftsperson responsibility, designed to transcend trends and last a lifetime. Every Krayon complication begins with a genuine scientific problem — how to mechanically represent the movement of the sun for any location on Earth, at any time of year — and works backward to an elegant, legible solution.
Krayon's three collections each address this challenge differently. The Everywhere, the brand's debut creation (June 21, 2017), offers a universal mechanical sunrise and sunset indicator. The Anywhere (May 26, 2020) functions as a personal ephemeris on the wrist. The Anyday (March 13, 2025), billed as the first mechanical planner watch to cover an entire month at a glance, extends the brand's calendar innovation into a new dimension.
The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève has recognised Krayon twice: with the Innovation Prize in 2018 for the Everywhere Horizon, and the Calendar & Astronomy Prize in 2022 for the Anywhere. In 2021 Krayon participated in the Only Watch charity auction with the Anywhere Métiers d'Art. In March 2026, a limited collaboration of 15 platinum pieces was released in partnership with PAC-MAN™.
