The 84 Watches Nominated
for the 2026 GPHG

The Academy has voted. These are the 84 timepieces nominated for the 2026 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, six finalists in each of the fourteen categories, drawn from the 320 watches entered this year.

Every autumn the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève performs the same difficult act of subtraction. Three hundred and twenty watches were entered for the 2026 edition; the Academy has now cut them down to eighty-four. Six names per category, fourteen categories, and no room for a seventh. Whatever else a nomination means, it means a jury of several hundred people looked at a very crowded field and agreed that these were the ones worth arguing about.

What the shortlist shows this year is how little the old hierarchy holds. Fifty-six houses are represented and forty-one of them are here exactly once — a single watch, a single shot. Chopard leads the count with six nominations spread from Time Only to the Mechanical Clock category; Bulgari, Parmigiani Fleurier and Audemars Piguet follow with four each. But the rest of the list belongs to workshops that measure their annual output in dozens: Cleguer, Dominique Renaud, Lederer and Vianney Halter in Complication, Sylvain Pinaud and David Candaux against Girard-Perregaux and Louis Vuitton in Tourbillon, Berneron and Krayon in Calendar and Astronomy.

The categories themselves are where the interesting collisions happen. Complication pits a Ulysse Nardin and Urwerk collaboration against four independents. Chronograph puts Rexhep Rexhepi beside TAG Heuer and Audemars Piguet. Petite Aiguille, the category reserved for watches under a set price, brings Christopher Ward, Ming, Massena Lab and Otsuka Lotec into the same conversation as Frédérique Constant and TAG Heuer, which is the clearest evidence that value and ambition are no longer opposing forces. And Challenge, the most accessible category of all, has Seiko, Favre Leuba, Beaubleu, Beda’a and SpaceOne making the case that a watch does not need to be expensive to be inventive.

Below you will find all eighty-four, grouped exactly as the Academy grouped them. Every image and every link goes back to the official GPHG presentation of the watch, so you can read the specification, see the movement and make up your own mind before the jury makes up theirs.
