"David Carrington is the Founder and CEO of COMPASS Timepieces, a purpose-driven luxury watch brand rooted in Swiss precision and a modern legacy mindset. Inspired from a young age growing up in New York City, David questioned the absence of Black-owned brands within the luxury watch space — a realization that would later shape his mission to create meaningful timepieces that stand for ownership, individuality, and purpose.
After building a career in IT, David made the decisive leap in 2022 to pursue his lifelong passion for horology. He began developing COMPASS alongside a Swiss manufacturing team in La Chaux-de-Fonds, committing fully to the brand after a career layoff reinforced his calling to go all in. Today, COMPASS Timepieces crafts watches with Swiss ETA movements and premium materials, each designed to mark personal milestones and encourage collectors to “Find Purpose™” in every moment."
