The French manufacture PEQUIGNET expands its Attitude collection with the new Attitude Onyx, a 39 mm timepiece that combines the intensity of natural stone with mechanical precision. Its black onyx dial gives the design a darker, more pronounced identity, while carefully selected details maintain a balance between contemporary restraint, craftsmanship, and elegance.

The Character of Black Onyx

Belonging to the chalcedony family, onyx is distinguished by its opaque black color, fine grain, and uniform shade. Used since Antiquity in jewelry and decorative arts, this natural stone finds a new expression in the Attitude Onyx, becoming the central element of its design.

The genuine onyx dial contrasts with the polished 316L stainless steel case. Against the black background, the 5N rose gold-plated hands and indexes stand out, adding warmth while ensuring legibility. The white printed logo introduces a discreet detail that maintains a clean and balanced visual composition.

The dial is protected by a domed, anti-reflective glass box sapphire crystal. Its profile evokes the lines of classic watchmaking, while the black alligator strap, lined with black leather, completes the design. The polished steel ardillon buckle features the fleur-de-lys logo, a distinctive detail of the manufacture.

The Calibre Initial®, an In-House Movement

Inside the Attitude Onyx is the Calibre Initial®, a movement developed to power the Attitude collection. Measuring 28.2 mm in diameter and just 4.2 mm thick, it stands out for its slim profile and offers a 65-hour power reserve.

Its bidirectional winding mechanism features a distinctive tooth profile designed to improve mechanical efficiency and reduce component wear. The movement operates at a frequency of 4 Hz, equivalent to 28,800 vibrations per hour, and includes 21 jewels and a stop-seconds function.

Proportions and Construction Details

The Attitude Onyx, reference 9060448, features a polished 316L stainless steel case measuring 39 mm in diameter and 9.20 mm thick. Its proportions are complemented by a lug-to-lug measurement of 46.85 mm and a lug width of 18 mm. The crown features an embossed fleur-de-lys logo.

The caseback, secured by six screws, incorporates a sapphire window that reveals the movement and its pierced oscillating weight, decorated with snailling and an embossed fleur-de-lys logo. Water resistance is rated at 5 ATM, and the strap features an interchangeable system that allows it to be replaced according to the wearer's preferences.
