OYSTER PERPETUAL DEEPSEA: RESISTANCE AND PRECISION IN THE DEPTHS

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Deepsea is a diving watch designed to withstand extreme conditions. Its 44 mm Oyster case, crafted from Oystersteel, combines a robust construction with water resistance to a depth of 3,900 metres, reflecting its purpose as a timepiece for exploring the depths.

A Dial Honouring a Historic Dive

The D-Blue dial commemorates James Cameron's historic solo dive. Its gradient, transitioning from bright blue to deep black, represents the journey towards the Mariana Trench, the deepest point on the planet, making it one of the model's most distinctive features.

A Design Made for the Depths

The unidirectional rotating bezel, graduated over 60 minutes, allows divers to monitor diving and decompression times. Its black Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert is resistant to scratches and ultraviolet rays, while the large Chromalight hour markers and hands provide long-lasting blue luminescence for excellent legibility in the dark.

Technology and Precision Within

The Oyster Perpetual Deepsea is equipped with calibre 3235, a self-winding mechanical movement with bidirectional automatic winding and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. It offers a precision of -2/+2 seconds per day after casing and features a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers.

Oystersteel and the Oyster Bracelet

Oystersteel stands out for its high resistance to corrosion and its ability to retain its finish even in extreme conditions. The three-piece Oyster bracelet features an Oysterlock safety clasp and the Glidelock system, allowing its length to be adjusted precisely without the use of tools.

With its D-Blue dial, exceptional water resistance and automatic movement, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Deepsea brings together innovation, strength and precision in a watch designed for the demands of the greatest depths.
