MARCH LA.B: A COOL BRAND FOR COOL PEOPLE

Not every independent watch brand tries to stand out through complicated movements or limited editions. March LA.B has found its own path by focusing on distinctive design, strong 1970s inspiration, and a simple philosophy: creating elegant watches with character at an accessible price.

Founded in 2011, the French brand has built a loyal community of enthusiasts who appreciate wearing a watch that they rarely see on someone else's wrist.

Inspired by Biarritz and Los Angeles

The name March LA.B reflects the connection between Los Angeles, where co-founder and designer Jérôme Mage is based, and Biarritz. According to CEO Alain Marhic, both cities share a relaxed atmosphere, a strong surf culture, and a natural sense of style. This blend of French elegance and Californian cool has become the foundation of the brand's identity.

A design with real personality

One of the brand's signature models is the Mansart, recognizable for its octagonal case, matching octagonal crown, and sharp architectural lines. Rather than recreating vintage watches, March LA.B focuses on creating modern timepieces with their own identity.

Another distinctive feature is the use of the color green, which appears on the transparent case backs and straps, becoming a signature element throughout the collection. The watches are powered by Swiss movements and assembled in France.

Watches made to stand out

Alongside its men's collection, March LA.B has expanded its offering with the Lady Mansart, an elegant and accessible watch designed for women seeking refined style without the traditional luxury price tag.

The interview also introduced one of the brand's latest releases, a slim hand-wound mechanical watch featuring a beautifully textured dial that showcases the company's attention to detail and commitment to understated elegance.

More than a watch

For Alain, the greatest success of March LA.B goes beyond design. He believes the brand has created a genuine community of owners who enjoy wearing something unique and instantly recognizable. Instead of following trends or reproducing iconic designs, March LA.B offers watches with their own personality, allowing wearers to express their individual style.

Today, while France remains its strongest market, the brand continues to expand internationally, reaching collectors in countries including Japan, Indonesia, and Turkey.

March LA.B demonstrates that independent watchmaking can still offer something fresh. By combining French design, 1970s inspiration, and a contemporary aesthetic, the brand has established a unique identity that appeals to enthusiasts looking for originality, elegance, and authenticity. For anyone searching for a timepiece that stands apart from the crowd, March LA.B  is a brand well worth exploring.
