XRby is a French art watch concept born on October 1st 2020 — at 23:06:55, on the night of the harvest full moon, the first full moon following the autumn equinox. Based in the Massif Jurassien, XRby was founded on a radical artistic proposition: to give craftspeople of the decorative arts their rightful recognition by making them the true authors of the timepiece. The dial — the most expressive part of a watch — becomes a tribune for art. Each model is named XRby followed by the name of the artisan who signs the work: XRby Rose Saneuil, XRby Philippe Jacquin-Ravot, XRby Gabriel Colliard. The artistic techniques employed — engraving, stone-setting, enameling — require extraordinary patience, precision, and skill; each creation is unique and eternal. Technically, every XRby is 100% sourced from the Franco-Swiss Jura Arc: the case comes from Bienne, the caseback from Besançon, the movement from La Chaux-de-Fonds, the hands from Morteau, and the strap from Besançon. The movement is a Swiss automatic micro-rotor, framed by innovative bridges at the base of the case. The case itself is a sapphire Glassbox — the most transparent material to showcase the artwork within. XRby's environmental commitment is equally clear: only what is sold is manufactured, using only the materials strictly necessary.
