Thacker Merali is a contemporary boutique watch brand specializing in Swiss automatic mechanical wristwatches designed with intentional craftsmanship and compelling design inspiration. Founded by friends Bob Thacker and Raheem Merali after completing their MBAs, the company emerged from a desire to create a timepiece that carried meaning and personal connection — inspired by an heirloom watch and a shared passion for horology. Their flagship model, The Original, reflects this ethos by combining rugged elegance with reliable Swiss components, catering to enthusiasts who value both design and substance.
The brand’s design philosophy centers on premium mechanical performance and versatile aesthetics. Thacker Merali watches feature Swiss Sellita SW220 automatic movements with a day/date complication, robust 316L stainless steel cases, double-domed sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating, and Swiss Super-LumiNova luminescence — balancing classic mechanical watch craft with everyday functionality. The Original is at the core of the lineup, supported by a variety of quick-release strap options that allow owners to tailor the watch’s look and performance to their lifestyle.
Thacker Merali’s target audience is collectors and style-conscious buyers who want an entry-level luxury mechanical watch with meaningful design and high-quality Swiss internals. Its unique selling points include a high-value Swiss movement at a competitive price, a bold and versatile aesthetic suited for sport and dress wear, and a brand narrative built on friendship, heritage, and intentional design.
