SLOMO is a watch brand designed in Toronto and founded by Ben Moyle, a longtime art director who began drawing his own watch after finding that the ones he looked at lacked cohesion. Its motto, Appreciate Time, sums up an approach built on details worth slowing down for — and on a dial rethought so that reading it takes less effort, not more. The brand launched in October 2025 with a Kickstarter campaign for its first watch, which reached its CA$50,000 goal.
Its first watch, the Glance, shifts each numeral so it sits inside the space its hour occupies: whenever the hour hand is anywhere in that section, the time is immediately clear. The hands are cut so they never cover a numeral, and in place of a seconds hand the stylised "O" of the logo turns in what looks like slow motion, a reminder to ease off. Beneath the dial is a Miyota 9039 automatic in a brushed 316L steel case of 39 mm, 9.5 mm thick (11 mm with the crystal) and 46 mm lug to lug, with skeletonised lugs, a double-domed sapphire with anti-reflective coating, BGW9 3D lume blocks, 100 m of water resistance and an O-link bracelet with quick release and an on-the-fly adjustable clasp. It comes in blue, brown and green at CA$930, and has been praised by Worn & Wound — "the legibility it brings can't be argued with" — as well as Mainspring Magazine and Just One More Watch.
