Paul Picot is a Swiss watch brand whose motto — greatness in details — sits under its name on the dial. At the time of writing the maison is between chapters: its website is being rebuilt and announces itself as coming soon, so what it publishes is the collection itself rather than the story behind it.

That collection is built on a handful of long-running families. The Yachtman Club is the best known, joined by the Yachtman Tachymeter and the Yachtman Lady; the Megarotor Sector takes its name from the oversized rotor of its automatic movement; and the Technicum, Commodor, St. Tropez 31, Double Moon and the Paul Mariner 3 in ceramic complete the range, alongside the Cronosport chronographs.

The company operates from Rue Giuseppe Motta 10 in Chiasso, in the Italian-speaking Swiss canton of Ticino on the border with Lombardy, with a second address in Milan — a geography that matches a brand whose design has always leaned as much Italian as Swiss.
