Nomadic is an independent watch brand founded by Peter McAuley in Belfast, on a mission to put the city on the watchmaking map. Inspired by the industrial spirit of Belfast — its shipyards, linen mills, and the iconic Samson & Goliath cranes — and drawing from maritime history, adventure, and Irish heritage, Nomadic builds timepieces that tell stories as well as time. At the heart of every Nomadic watch beats a Swiss movement, chosen for its heritage, precision, and uncompromising standard of timekeeping, while every watch is assembled by hand inside the brand's flagship boutique in Belfast. Peter McAuley's vision was to challenge traditional luxury norms while remaining proudly Belfast-born: what began as an idea sketched in his spare room has grown into an internationally recognised independent brand. The name itself is a statement of purpose — to be nomadic is the continual quest to discover new places, fresh experiences, and liberation from the status quo.
