Ikepod is a Geneva-based Swiss watch brand with a design-first philosophy — disruptive, sculptural, and widely credited as a major influence on contemporary watch design. The original Ikepod was founded in the early 1990s and became one of the most celebrated design-led brands of its era, with collections including the Hemipod, Seapod, Megapod, Duopod, and Chronopod — all shaped by an obsession with form, materials, and horological expression that broke from the conventions of the time. The brand went dormant in 2012, but its designs continued to inspire watchmakers and collectors worldwide. In 2017, lifelong Ikepod enthusiast Christian-Louis acquired the brand and set about reviving it — staging a successful Kickstarter relaunch in 2018 that brought Ikepod back under the company DOPEKI Sàrl in Geneva. The relaunched brand stays true to its design legacy while making its timepieces more accessible, and continues to work with exceptional designers: Emmanuel Gueit, who transformed the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak into the Offshore Chronograph at age 25; Alexandre Peraldi, a consultant and design lecturer in Geneva; Fabrice Gonet, who drew the Seapod as a modern interpretation of the original; the 98-award Stockholm studio Claesson Koivisto Rune, who designed the Skypod dials; and Adrian Buchmann of studio Fuzion. Today Ikepod produces the Hemipod, Horopod, Skypod, Duopod, Chronopod, Megapod, Seapod, and Art Series, with movements assembled at a Hong Kong workshop and final quality overseen from Geneva. In January 2025, Ikepod released a commemorative book celebrating 30 years of its design legacy.
