ID Genève is an independent Swiss watch brand founded in 2020 in Geneva by childhood friends Nicolas Freudiger (CEO), Cédric Mulhauser (COO), and Singal Depéry (Designer). The brand defines itself as the first impact-native luxury watch brand, built from the ground up around sustainability, circular economy principles, and what it calls conviction on the wrist.
Headquartered at Place Simon-Goulart 2 in Geneva, ID Genève holds B Corp certification — one of the most rigorous independent standards for social and environmental performance. Its collections, the Circular and Elements lines, are developed under five impact pillars: pioneering new materials for the luxury industry, sharing a common purpose, owning responsibility through transparency, preserving resources, and advocating for better practices across the sector.
The brand's RE Platform offers a circular pre-owned watch service, and its Life Cycle Analysis programme publishes comparative environmental impact data for each model — a level of transparency rare in the luxury industry. A Limited SDG Edition was created in collaboration with Swiss circular-material innovator CompPair.
In 2023, ID Genève raised CHF 2 million in funding, with actor and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio among its investors — an endorsement that brought international press attention from the Financial Times, Vogue Business, Hodinkee, GQ, the New York Times, and Le Monde, among others.
