GRANDVAL is a Parisian independent brand founded in 2019 by Thomas around a simple idea: to offer watches and beautiful leather objects inspired by the golden age of design and creativity — the 1960s and 70s — when ideals of freedom and faith in the future guided the most creative minds. GRANDVAL develops its watches in-house, with the help of rigorously selected partners: each timepiece is designed, controlled, adjusted, and assembled in France. The brand's leather accessories — straps, watch pouches, and bags — are crafted on the banks of the Loire river in a partner atelier holding the prestigious EPV label (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), using leathers sourced from the finest French and Italian tanneries. The name GRANDVAL is an homage to the Château Grandval — a château once located southeast of Paris, now disappeared — where many notable figures stayed, including Denis Diderot, who visited several times while writing his famous Encyclopédie. The château gave its name to the neighborhood where Thomas, the brand's founder, grew up — closing the circle between heritage, place, and creative ambition.
