GoS Watches began in 2007 as a partnership between master bladesmith Johan Gustafsson and master watchmaker Patrik Sjögren, united by a deep passion for their respective crafts and the ancient Scandinavian craft tradition. Since the summer of 2021, Patrik Sjögren is the sole owner of GoS, and the Damascus steel is now produced by Swedish master bladesmith Conny Persson.
At the heart of GoS is hand-forged Damascus steel — a process of layering and folding that results in every piece containing patterns with a different character and personality, making each watch truly one of a kind. This material, applied to cases and dials, produces visual depth that no two pieces share.
The brand's collections draw inspiration from Scandinavian nature and history. The Nordic Seasons series captures the contrasts of Scandinavian seasons through distinct color schemes, while the Aurora watch takes its inspiration from the Northern Lights. GoS has also revived ancient Viking-age decoration patterns for dials and other components. The watch hands are handmade and hand-finished by Patrik Sjögren himself.
Scandinavian craft tradition extends to every detail: moose-leather straps locally produced in Sweden since 2015, handcrafted Swedish Crystal presentation boxes introduced in 2019, and accessories such as knives and pens. GoS also offers uniquely customized watches, where customers can request specific patterns and colors based on the broad range of Damascus techniques available.
Based in Linköping, Sweden, GoS stands as one of the most distinctive voices in independent watchmaking — where maker, material, and place are inseparable from the finished timepiece.
