Gagà Laboratorio was born from Ruben Tomella's vision to create timepieces characterised by a unique and instantly recognisable design, bringing together Italian design and Swiss precision in luxury watchmaking. Tomella had spent twenty years leading the Gagà Milano brand, which he still owns, when he felt the time had come to change and make a leap into a new world: as a lover of beauty in all its forms, he decided to embark on a new adventure creating timepieces that would captivate collectors from a design perspective.

To realise that vision the house formed a partnership with the internationally renowned artist and designer Mo Coppoletta, who is involved not only as a designer but also holds the role of art director. As Coppoletta describes it, the goal he shares with Tomella is clear but not simple: to design a watch whose perceived value is much higher than its commercial positioning. For this reason Gagà Laboratorio is developing as a brand producing watches designed for collectors but at an accessible price. Its output is anchored by the Labormatic collection, and the company operates as Manufacture Gagà SA.
