Festina Swiss Made is the line Festina launched in 2020 to return to where the name started. Festina was founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1902, and this collection is the group's way of putting that origin back at the centre: watches designed, assembled and controlled at its own manufacture in Herbetswil, in the Swiss canton of Solothurn, where the group also builds Candino. Everything the brand talks about — the choice of materials, the assembly, the checks at the end of the line — is framed as a return to authentic Swiss watchmaking rather than a new departure, and it sits alongside the main Festina range as its most traditional expression.
The watches are built in 316L stainless steel, with quartz or mechanical automatic movements, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezels on some references, IP plating on bracelets, hands and indexes, and bracelets in steel, ceramic, rubber, leather or mesh. Slim cases run through the range, some ladies' models are set with zircons, and the divers reach 30 bar, or 300 metres. Six collections make up the offer: Rivé, the flagship, mixing fluted bezels and strong dial colours in quartz and automatic; Chrono, a chronograph with calendar functions aimed at daily wear rather than sport; Vallée, built on an octagonal steel case with a textured dial; Classic Steel, the everyday steel-bracelet line for men and women; Automatic, with the movement left on show; and Grace, the most minimal of the six, on clean dials and fine detailing.
The brand's communication runs through its ambassadors: the actor Gerard Butler, who has represented Festina since 2017, and the Argentine model and presenter Martina Klein, together in the My Time campaign filmed in New York, plus a long-running partnership with Miss France. Every watch carries Festina's 24-month international guarantee.
