1924
The Foundation Brothers Adolf and Albert Gilomen founded A. & A. Gilomen S.A. in Lengnau, Switzerland. The Delma name originates from one of the brand’s initial models.
1946
The First Chronograph Under the name Midland, Delma introduced an 18-karat yellow gold hand-wound chronograph, marking the beginning of its sports watch collection.
1954
A True Racing Machine A sporty chronograph with a stainless-steel case and an ETA Valjoux 7736 R movement is launched, featuring a tachymeter dial and luminous hands.
1966
Delma Rises to the Top The company is renamed Delma Watch Ltd. after Ulrich Wüthrich & partner take over. The brand remains family-led to this day.
1969
First Automatic Divers’ Watch Delma introduces the Periscope, its first wristwatch with enhanced water resistance, marking the brand’s entry into dive watches.
1975
Professional Divers’ Watches The Shell Star and Quattro are launched as professional dive watches, becoming key models in Delma’s history.
1981
Launch of the Shark The Shark model stands out with its rectangular case, octagonal dial, and diamond-cut indexes.
1995
The Delma Platinum Collection The brand wins 1st prize in the precious metal category at the JA International Jewelry Show in New York.
2017
The Racing Collection Expands Delma launches the Oceanmaster series, inspired by its partnership with IMOCA Ocean Masters, focusing on extreme sailing.
2021
75 Years of Delma Chronographs The Heritage Chronograph is introduced in two versions, including a limited edition Bicompax Chronograph (75 pieces).
2024
100 Years of Delma Delma celebrates its centennial anniversary, marking a century of Swiss craftsmanship, endurance, and innovation.
