Blackout Concept is a sporty-luxurious micro-watchmaking brand that skillfully bridges high-end Swiss craftsmanship with accessible pricing. The company harnesses a unique fusion of Asian-sourced components and Swiss finishing expertise, delivering watches that offer both beauty and reliability without the prohibitive cost of traditional Swiss luxury—a core principle summarized as “The unthinkable becomes possible.” Initially founded by Fabrice Letellier—a former racing driver and automotive customizer known for his “matte black” designs—the brand began as a customizer of iconic Swiss watches like Rolex and Patek Philippe. However, in 2017, it shifted direction toward creating its own original models, combining rugged, accessible materials with refined craftsmanship to make luxury-style watches attainable for a wider audience. In 2022, under the leadership of Tymothy Plubeau and Étienne Rousseaux, the brand further evolved, focusing on original designs and quality improvements. Its flagship line—the XP1 Tourbillon—exemplifies the brand’s ethos: a sporty, technical aesthetic with a tourbillon complication, assembled under the care of a Swiss-certified master watchmaker in Geneva.
