Atelier Jalaper is a watch brand born from a deep passion for both automotive and horological craftsmanship. The founders, guided by their shared enthusiasm for vintage cars and precision timepieces, have created a unique collection of watches that fuse these two worlds. Each timepiece is crafted with elements sourced from legendary car models, embodying the spirit of automotive history in every design. Atelier Jalaper’s commitment to quality and innovation is evident in the meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every watch not only tells time but also tells a story of heritage, passion, and timeless style.
2019
At the beginning of the year, the very first deck was finally finalized, defining our vision for Atelier Jalaper, which guided us for our first collection and still guides us today. When conceptualizing this new project, it became clear from the start that only a true icon could be the basis for these first series. The choice fell on the timeless and iconic Aston Martin DB5. This model of the British brand, of which only 1021 examples were produced from 1963 to 1965, has been elevated to the rank of legend, thanks in part to a certain British spy.
2020
The production of the AJ001 came to an end, with each watch finally ready to find its master. The Atelier Jalaper engine is running at full speed and offers our customers a choice of 4 models from our first series! This would not have been possible without the support and help of the people who have been with us since the launch. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of them.
2021
After receiving great feedback from our members on our first collection, it was finally time to start working on a new collection: the AJ-P400. By conducting extensive historical research, we were able to explore the Miura from every angle, from the headlights to the exhaust pipe, to identify key design elements for the AJ-P400. The next step was to dive into the roots of the Miura, which led us to an emotional approach to the development of our second collection. It was important to understand not only how the Miura was designed, but also how it was received.
2022
This whole year was dedicated to finalizing the design of the AJ-P400. Thanks to Xavier Perrenoud, head of AJ Design, and Erik Gilomen, the new head of the production team, we were able to translate our vision into a unique collection of timepieces.
2023
The AJ-P400 is finally ready to set the asphalt on fire with the frantic rhythm of its oscillating movement. As the demand grows internationally, we have started to work on a new legend that will most certainly be introduced by the end of the year.
