22STUDIO is a Taipei-based design studio founded in 2005 by a husband-and-wife team, built on a single material conviction: concrete is an attitude — direct, honest, and open. Inspired by the raw, exposed beauty of concrete and the works of Japanese architect Tadao Ando, the founders set out to create personal products that transmit the material's honesty and transparency, while extending a product and graphic design partnership begun at university. At 22STUDIO, the studio is the factory: design and production are one. Every piece — from wristwatches to stationery, jewelry, home decor, and writing instruments — is handcrafted in Taipei through hands-on experimentation, attending each piece from concept to production in the spirit of genuine craft. The brand's most celebrated creation is the 4D Concrete Watch, whose first prototype debuted at the Simple Life Original Festival in 2013, combining the concepts of time and three-dimensional space into a sculptural concrete dial that changes as the watch is worn. Over more than a decade of development, the 4D line expanded into Automatic, Sector, Ups & Downs, and Sports variants — all powered by quality movements and finished with 22STUDIO's exclusive hand-cast, 14-day-cured concrete dials, inspected to a tolerance of 0.2mm. The brand also produces the Polygon and Module fountain pen and rollerball collections, geometric jewelry, and the 4th Dimension wall and table clocks.
