Hey WatchDNA community! Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Adam from Farr + Swit, a brand making waves in the world of watches. We caught up with Adam at the Toronto Timepiece show, and we’re excited to share insights into his brand’s journey, inspiration, and future.
Farr + Swit is a brand dedicated to creating stylish and durable watches designed for everyday adventure. With a commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative design, the company offers a range of timepieces that blend modern aesthetics with functional features. Their watches are built to withstand the rigors of an active lifestyle while maintaining a sleek and sophisticated look, ensuring that wearers can enjoy both reliability and style.
WatchDNA: Welcome, Adam! It’s great to have you with us. How’s the show been so far?
Adam: Thanks for having me! It’s been incredible, honestly. The turnout has exceeded expectations, and we’ve sold out of many of our digital watches. I wasn’t even prepared for this – I didn’t bring enough stock! It’s been a great problem to have.
WatchDNA: That’s fantastic to hear! What’s been the most popular model at the show?
Adam: Our digital watches have really taken off, and we sold out here at the show! It’s been wild!
WatchDNA: Tell us about the inspiration behind these watches. Where did the idea come from?
Adam: It actually started with my son. I’d bought him a similar watch, and one day, he said, “Dad, you make all these watches, why don’t you make something like this?” At that moment, I had a design for a cassette tape watch that wasn’t quite working, but then it all clicked. Creativity is funny like that – once the idea gets rolling, everything else falls into place. We had the design, the packaging – it all came together beautifully.
WatchDNA: That’s such a cool origin story! Could you give us a little more background on Farr + Swit? When did you start, and what’s been your vision for the brand?
Adam: I’ve always been a watch collector. Our story isn’t too different from other microbrands – we wanted to create something unique. We launched our first watch, a hybrid diver, which we called the “SEA Plane.” It came with all the specs you’d expect – Swiss movements, sapphire crystal, a fantastic bezel, and amazing lume.
From there, we progressed to our Loom dial movements with sweeping quartz movements. The response has been fantastic! Our solar-powered watches, which evolved into our “Vice Edition,” have also been a big hit.
WatchDNA: Your collections seem to have a distinct vibe. What’s been the design influence behind your most recent watches?
Adam: We’ve really leaned into an ’80s nostalgia theme. That’s where the cassette tape design came from. It’s been a fun ride blending that retro vibe with modern watchmaking technology.
WatchDNA: Amazing! So, where can people find Farr + Swit?
Adam: You can find us on our website and at various shows. We’ve been doing a lot with Wind-Up Watch Fair and other events like Minutes and Hours. We’ve been at the Toronto Timepiece Show and will soon be in Vancouver. Online is also a great way to connect – people can always reach out to us on Instagram. I personally check and respond to all DMs, so you’re talking directly to me – no social media managers here!

Adam: Thank you! It’s been great sharing our story with the WatchDNA community. And remember, all the information can be found on our website or through WatchDNA. Share the love, everyone!
