Bell & Ross continues its exploration of haute horlogerie with the BR-X3 Micro-Rotor, a timepiece that reaffirms the brand’s philosophy that mechanical sophistication is not limited to complications. Following the success of the BR-X3 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor in 2025, the brand introduces in 2026 this limited edition of 99 pieces, combining precision, architectural design, and pure functionality.
Mechanical Precision and Exceptional Visibility
At the heart of the BR-X3 Micro-Rotor beats an in-house automatic micro-rotor caliber. Unlike traditional oscillating rotors, the micro-rotor is integrated within the movement’s thickness, ensuring efficient winding while reducing the overall height to just 9 mm. This innovative design also provides a clear view of the movement, highlighting the craftsmanship of the manufacture. The caliber features 28 rubies, a 48-hour power reserve, and comes with a 5-year warranty.
Function and Design in Perfect Harmony
The BR-X3 Micro-Rotor movement is semi-skeletonized in a deliberate, compositional way. Vertical and horizontal bridges form a precise metal grid, enhancing both aesthetics and structural integrity. Timekeeping is reduced to the essentials. Two luminescent hands indicate the hours and minutes, seamlessly integrated into the dial’s grid.
The Square as a Structural Statement
The BR-X3 Micro-Rotor showcases Bell & Ross’s iconic square case and turns it into a structural element rather than just a visual signature. The four characteristic screws emphasize this identity. The case and movement are fused, with bridges directly supported by the case. The construction relies on three main elements. A central steel plate forms the case-movement block. A top sapphire crystal and a bottom sapphire crystal complete the structure, resulting in a radically architectural timepiece.
