GPHG 2025: DISCOVER THE 90 COMPETING TIMEPIECES AND THE  WORLD TOUR STAGES

The stage is set for the 25th edition of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). The GPHG Foundation has officially unveiled the 90 nominated timepieces and the exciting global tour that will bring these horological masterpieces to the world before the awards ceremony.

The Contenders for the "Aiguille d'Or"

From 302 models submitted by 184 brands, the GPHG Academy has selected 84 watches and 6 clocks to compete across 15 categories. These exceptional creations will now vie for the prestigious awards, including the highly coveted “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix, honouring the year's most beautiful watch creations.

The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on Thursday, 13 November 2025, at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva. The event will be broadcast live on gphg.org.

The 90 pre-selected creations are divided into the following 15 categories, showcasing the incredible diversity of contemporary watchmaking:

A Global Tour of Watchmaking Excellence

Ahead of the ceremony, the public will have the unique opportunity to discover the nominated pieces in person during a world tour with key stops in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East:

  • Shanghai, China (29 Sept - 8 Oct): Partnering with Hantang Culture during Golden Week, the tour begins in Shanghai, celebrating Swiss watchmaking excellence and cultural exchange.

  • Istanbul, Turkey (15 - 20 Oct): In a first for Turkey, the exhibition will be hosted by the fashion group Vakko in its private hotel on the banks of the Bosphorus.

  • Geneva, Switzerland (29 Oct - 16 Nov): The Musée d’Art et d’Histoire in Geneva will host the collection, accompanied by a cultural programme for the public and schools.

  • Dubai, UAE (19 - 23 Nov): Following the awards, Dubai Watch Week will proudly showcase the 2025 winning models.

This world tour offers an unmissable overview of contemporary watchmaking's finest, connecting cultures and celebrating the art of time.
