Gustave & Cie is a contemporary French watchmaking house that specializes in mono-hand (single-hand) watches—where one hand elegantly indicates both hours and minutes in either a 12-hour or 24-hour format. Founded by designers Timothée Barbier and Guillaume Rémond, the brand draws inspiration from the innovative spirit of Gustave Eiffel and blends timeless minimalism with a modern twist. Their timepieces, envisioned as both urban and adventurous, feature thoughtful design, quality components, and meticulous craftsmanship. Watches are designed in Paris, with cases assembled in Besançon and final assembly—including bracelet fitting and packaging—handled in-house in Paris. They use Swiss or Japanese movements, aimed at delivering French-made quality with affordable sophistication.
