Baume & Mercier, founded in 1830 in Swiss Jura, is a world-renowned watchmaker. The Brand provides the best watches from its Geneva headquarters and Swiss Jura factories. The Baume & Mercier House continues to chronicle watchmaking history by handing along its design and watchmaking knowledge. This savoir-faire matches the Brand’s founders William Baume & Paul Mercier’s collaboration: classicism meets originality, heritage meets contemporary, and elegance meets character. Through Riviera, Clifton, Classima, Hampton, and Baume.
In January 2026 Richemont and the Damiani Group signed an agreement for the Italian group to acquire 100% of Baume & Mercier, and the transaction was completed on 1 July 2026. The Maison now sits alongside the Damiani Group’s jewelry brands – Damiani, Salvini, Bliss and Calderoni – together with the historic Murano glassmaker Venini and Rocca, the group’s multi-brand watch and jewelry distributor. Richemont continues to provide operational services for an interim period while the Damiani Group prepares the Maison’s integration into its own operations.
