Dr hc Nicolas G. Hayek (1928–2010), citoyen suisse, président et délégué du conseil d'administration du Swatch Group de 1986 à 2010. Monsieur NG Hayek, consultant stratégique du groupe depuis 1980, a défini les lignes directrices de la fusion d'ASUAG-SSIH, et a développé la stratégie future du Groupe. Les Universités de Neuchâtel et de Bologne lui décernent des doctorats honorifiques. Monsieur NG Hayek a également été président du conseil d'administration du groupe Hayek, dont il a été le fondateur et qui fournit également occasionnellement des services au Swatch Group. Monsieur NG Hayek a agi au sein de l'Advisory Board de l'EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) et a également été membre du groupe consultatif temporaire «High Level Group» de l'Union européenne.
MNG Hayek a reçu la distinction «Grosses Ehrenzeichen mit Stern» du gouvernement autrichien, il a été nommé «Officier de la Légion d'honneur» et «Commandeur de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres» par le gouvernement français et a été nommé citoyen d'honneur de Biel-Bienne ainsi que de Meisterschwanden (Argovie). En janvier 2007, MNG Hayek a reçu le Swiss Lifetime Award, qui a été décerné pour la première fois.
En 2008, Monsieur NG Hayek a constitué Belenos Clean Power Holding Ltd, dont il était Président et Délégué. Monsieur NG Hayek n'a exercé aucune autre activité de direction ou de surveillance en dehors du Groupe. Il n'occupait ni fonction officielle ni fonction politique.
